Campus Director of Compass Ministries
Compass is a local student ministry under the umbrella of Impact Ministries, a Back2Back ministry. The two ministries work in tandem, as Compass reaches children and pre-teens, while Impact focuses on empowering and equipping high schools students.
My passion is to reach children for Christ by leading them to a saving faith in Jesus. The latest statistics from the Barna Group indicate that it is highly unlikely for a person to accept Christ as Savior after the age of thirteen. This just confirms the necessity of putting forth a great effort to reach children and preteens with the Gospel.
It is my heart’s desire for children to find direction for their life by following Jesus. My goal is to connect unchurched students to the local body of believers where they can be nurtured spiritually.
I also have a passion to facilitate the spiritual growth of teens. I seek to develop personal relationships with teens and encourage them to partner with me in service to children. I am also passionate about teens growing in their personal relationship with Christ by imitating Him in service to others.
The strategy of Compass is to reach children in the public schools through an after-school Bible club, called the Good News Club. By leading the Good News Club within public schools, we are able to reach students who may not have had the opportunity to hear about Christ and get involved in a local church.
As Campus Director of Compass:
· I personally lead after-school Bible clubs in area public schools.
· I develop and mentor teams who will lead clubs in order to multiply the ministry to even more children and their families.
· I encourage, disciple and train teenage leaders who serve in the after-school Bible clubs.
· I host events at Grace Chapel that serve as an outreach to the local community.
